The thin and very lightweight Paso Guide 7.7 mm rope is designed for intense ice climbing and technical mountaineering. It features the water-repellent Guide UIAA Dry treatment, which protects it from moisture and makes it suitable for daily use in extreme conditions.

The Guide UIAA Dry coating is Petzl's most advanced coating for frequent use in wet environments. The difference is particularly noticeable during daily use in extreme conditions such as ice climbing and mountaineering. This coating also enhances the rope's resistance to dirt and abrasion. The Guide UIAA Dry treatment meets the requirements of the UIAA water-repellency test, showing a water absorption of less than 2%. The impregnation of the ropes is carried out in two steps: first, the core of the rope is impregnated before braiding, and then the entire rope is treated to significantly reduce water absorption and the ingress of small particles.

The EverFlex coating stabilizes the fibers and makes the rope more uniform. The rope feels good in the hand and ensures consistently good handling. These properties are also achieved in semi-static ropes through a special braiding technique.

The middle marking simplifies rope maneuvers.
