In many applications, circuits are designed with the same fuse ratings, and the BASIC FIX version of the protection switches provides the most economical solution. Different nominal current combinations allow for a wide range of applications. Each channel includes active current limitation to 1.3 times the preset nominal current. The electronic protection switch distributes the load current across multiple branches and reliably monitors them for overload and short circuit. It allows for short-term current spikes, such as those caused by high inrush currents, but disconnects branches with prolonged overload. The trip current is fixed for each output. The outputs are switched on with a time delay and based on load to reduce peak inrush currents. In the event of an overload in a circuit, the active current limitation ensures that only the faulty current path is reliably disconnected without affecting the other circuits, and it can be reactivated after a short waiting period (thermal relaxation) using a button or signal contact. A voltage drop in unaffected circuits is reliably prevented. The button is also used for manually turning off the respective output. Operationally relevant information can be read via signal contacts, and individual outputs can be selectively turned on or off. The status of each output is indicated by a multicolored LED.
