DFM pneumatic guide cylinder - ball bearing. Festo-DFM series guide cylinders are double acting as both drive and guide units in one housing. Recirculating ball bearings operate the guide rods. This is ideal for applications where torque loads are present. Designed for pneumatic applications with heavy loads, such as clamping, stopping, material handling and lifting. Rugged, precision aluminum construction is maintenance-free and highly resistant to torque and lateral external forces. The compact design incorporates the piston rod as part of the guide body. DFM Series guide actuators feature flexible cushioning plates for quiet operation and extended life. Integrated slots on the actuator body allow integration of proximity sensors that measure the linear motion of the piston. Air supply ports on the top and side of the cylinder provide flexible positioning options. Application examples.
