Mechanical crimping tool including crimping inserts, quick tool-free crimping insert change without readjustment due to a special fixing system, with a locking device for uniform crimping results. Crimping insert UEIQ6 for insulated cable connections of 0.5 to 6 mm² integrated in the head, UEAE2R for wire-end ferrules of 0.14 to 2.5 mm² and twin wire-end ferrules of 0.25 to 1.5 mm², UEAE16R for wire-end ferrules of up to 6 mm² and for twin wire-end ferrules of up to 2.5 mm² integrated in the handle MPU-TRE.
