95 12 200 SB cable shears are designed for cutting copper and aluminum cables. They are not suitable for steel wire and hard-drawn copper conductors. The shears feature hardened cutting edges with precision grinding, allowing for smooth and clean cuts without crushing. By dividing the cutting process into a pre-cut (insulating jacket in the front cutting area) and a post-cut (conductor in the rear cutting area), cables up to 20 mm in diameter can be cut with one hand. The low power requirement is due to favorable transmission ratios and special cutting geometry. Pinch protection prevents crushing injuries, and the adjustable screw joint is self-locking.
