Mersen aM and gG fuse links cover a wide range of different sizes and current ratings for 400, 500, and 690 VAC. They are used for the protection of electrical distribution circuits and industrial systems. A large portion of the current ratings is available in sizes 8x31 and 10x38 optionally with an indicator, and in sizes 14x51 and 22x58 optionally with a striker pin for triggering an auxiliary contact. All cylindrical fuse links consist of a ceramic body and silver-plated contacts. Cylindrical fuse links of the aM operating class are partial area fuses and protect electrical devices from destruction due to excessively high short circuits through their strong current limitation and low thermal let-through values. They disconnect currents greater than 6.3xIn up to the maximum breaking capacity. Cylindrical fuse links aM are preferably used to protect systems and switching devices in motor circuits. When selecting the fuse links, the rated current can be chosen to be equal to the motor rated current. Our technology and manufacturing process ensure highly reliable technical performance.
