Wire rope box, galvanized • Made from high-quality wire rope with a nominal strength of 1770 N/mm² • Torque-free and stress-free • According to EN 12385-4, torque-free ropes and their advantages: 1. The strands of the ropes are pre-formed. Cut ropes maintain their position without requiring any binding at the cut interface. 2. Since all strands are evenly stretched, the load is distributed uniformly across all individual wires in the rope. 3. The ropes have a low tendency to form kinks. 4. The unloaded wire rope is stress-free, as the wires have no pre-tension. Therefore, the ropes show little tendency to twist under load. 5. The ropes are characterized by exceptional flexibility. 6. Torque-free ropes have a significantly increased lifespan compared to standard wire ropes. Note: The recommended maximum load capacity (max. kg) is a calculated value based on the minimum breaking load (MBL) and a safety factor of six. The height of the chosen safety factor depends on the specific application and the applicable regulations. Example of maximum load capacity (max. kg) for a 3 mm wire rope: max. kg = MBL = 530 kN ~ 90 kg. Construction: A wire rope consists of a number of strands, which in turn consist of several wires. Additionally, fiber reinforcements are integrated to support the strands, reduce vibrations in the wire rope, and accommodate lubricants, e.g.: 5 x 7 + 1 -> 5 strands with 7 wires each and 1 fiber reinforcement. Important note: The use of wire ropes must only be in accordance with accident prevention regulations and the related EN standards, e.g., 12385 - 4, 13414, and 15020.
