Inner Rings Type IR
The inner rings of type IR are the SKF standard needle bearing inner rings. They are made from rolling bearing steel, hardened, and ground. The finely machined raceways are chamfered at their ends, which facilitates the fitting with the needle cage or the bearing ring with needle roller assembly. Their use is advantageous in applications where needle cages, needle sleeves, or needle bushes are employed, but the shaft cannot be hardened and ground.
