The Scania 770S 8x4/4 is a true workhorse! It is the heavy-duty version of the Scania 770S – the flagship model from Scania. Tamiya has created one of the most beautiful and powerful heavy-duty tractors in 1:14 scale. The Scania S-Series features a V8 turbo engine with 770 horsepower. The 8x4/4 indicates that the original is driven by 4 wheels and that the two front axles are steerable. These functions are replicated in the Tamiya model: the model is driven by the two rear axles and features a 3-speed transmission. The two front axles are controlled by a steering servo and have different steering angles, just like the original. The second axle is liftable. A mechanical lever on the top of the chassis allows the wheels to be raised or lowered. A highlight is the faithfully recreated heavy-duty tower behind the cab. This heavy-duty tower contains pressure tanks for a realistic appearance. The body parts are already pre-painted in TS-38 Gun Metal.
