Recommended for longer beard hair
The Philips Shaver Series 9000 is the better shaver for my beard hair, because it cuts the beard hair shorter and because it is significantly quieter than the Braun Series 9 Pro+. The Philips cleaning station is also whisper-quiet. The Braun Series 9 Pro+ catches longer beard hairs better than the Philips, but does not cut them as short.
Loudness comparison between Philips and Braun: If I hold the Braun in my hand with my arm outstretched 70 cm away and hold the Philips with the other hand about 14 cm away from my ear, both shavers are equally loud.Pro
