"Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs" get a Lego castle

Disney's reinterpretation of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was originally due to be released in cinemas this March, but the US media giant has postponed the release by at least a year. However, the castle planned by Lego to accompany the film will still be on sale: the set "The Hut of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" with the number 43242 consists of 2228 pieces and is recommended for Lego fans aged 18 and over. In addition to the fairytale castle, you can also assemble the wishing well, Snow White's glass sleeping shell and the cosy dwarf hut. There is also a cooker with a glowstone, which is powered by the included batteries. One side of the roof is removable so that you have better access to all areas.

The set also contains ten minifigures, including Snow White and the seven dwarfs Chief, Seppl, Pimpel, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepyhead and Hatsch, as well as the Evil Queen and the Prince. Six Disney animals are also included.

In total, the castle measures 20 x 35 x 20 centimetres.

The set is based on the classic

When I look at the set, the figures and the design clearly remind me of the animated film from 1937.

This was done deliberately, as Lego always bases its Disney sets on the well-known animated films, even when new, reworked live-action films are planned. This was explained in advance by Lego designer Ryan Van Woerkom. There are a few exceptions, but most of the sets are designed with the needs of nostalgic fans in mind, including "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".

In my opinion, it is therefore not a bad thing that the Lego set is now being released long before the cinema film. The Snow White Castle is due to go on sale from 4 March. As soon as you can buy it from us, I'll let you know. <p
