Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro: Nine hours on a single charge
Xiaomi's new true wireless headphones offer noise cancellation and a damn long battery life.
You should be able to use the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro in your ear for up to nine hours. Together with the charging case, the manufacturer claims a total runtime of up to 38 hours.
Long battery life and motion detection
Xiaomi did not, however, provide any information on which operating mode this nine-hour runtime applies to at the presentation at the Mobile World Congress 2023. As a rule, there is a difference between listening to music and making calls. The use of active noise cancellation also leads to a reduced battery life. But even with this deduction, the Buds 4 Pro should still outperform most true wireless headphones.

The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro support LDAC as a transmission standard. Among other things, this means a data transfer rate of up to 900 kbps and a bit depth of 32 bits. The drivers in the headphones are eleven millimetres in size.

The active noise cancellation is designed to make the environment up to 48 decibels quieter. It can be set to six different strengths. There are also three transparency modes that allow you to hear your surroundings differently.
Xiaomi also claims that the Buds 4 Pro recognise head movements and adjust the sound accordingly. This should keep the sound precise and realistic. You don't need to worry about rain or sweat, as the headphones are IP54 splash-proof.
With a recommended retail price of 249 euros, the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro are among the more expensive true wireless headphones.
