The monitor is currently available on the Dell Switzerland shop page. There it even costs only CHF 1,003. I also prefer to buy from Digitec, because of services & co... but you can't go wrong ordering directly from the manufacturer.

The bars are there to maintain the ratio in relation to the connected device. So you can normally change this directly from the display settings for that device.

This model has abandoned official Nvidia GSync certification because it is too expensive. It does, however, offer open-source FreeSync certification, which is also compatible with NVIDIA cards.

If you are referring to the unusual subpixel layout and the associated problems with Microsoft clear type, yes, these also affect this monitor. However, the perception is very individual. Some see it immediately, others (like me) don't notice it. You can find a good article here on page 4 https://www.hardwareluxx.de/index.php/artikel/hardware/monitore/58291-alienware-aw3423dw-im-test-quantum-dot-oled-gamer.html?start=3

I have had the monitor for half a year now and play with it, but I also work with it about 3 to 4 days a week. So far, I haven't experienced any burn-in or blurred text. I'm very satisfied so far. QLED is a dream for gaming and the size is a dream for working. Moreover, the Alienware warranty also applies to burn-in.

i can only tell you that this alienware is great for gaming. but for office use, you should get another one. gaming is great because of the vibrant colours, the rich black, the short response time. unsuitable for office use because of the reflective surface, the subpixel layout which makes texts rather difficult to read, because of potential burn-in.
