I have an Apple Airport as a router. Can I connect 1 or 2 MR2200ac via WLAN so that together they form a MESH network? Or should I buy the RT2600ac and 2 MR2200ac straight away?

I also had AirPort Extreme routers. Sold them on Ricardo and consolidated everything onto Synology. The RT2600ac is necessary. Am very satisfied.

Hello! Why is the Synology set 1 franc more expensive than if you order the 2 devices separately? (229 + 144 = 373) the set should be cheaper, right?

The adjustment of bundle prices is not done automatically. This type of difference may therefore be visible before manual modification.

I have a question of understanding here. I don't necessarily need the RT2600ac router, is that correct? Theoretically, the MR2200ac is enough for me, as it is also a router? So why do I need the RT2600ac?

You don't necessarily need the router. MR2200ac is also a router, even if the hardware is somewhat weaker. In our house I have 1x router RT2600ac 3x the MR2200ac (so I even have WLAN signal in the air-raid shelter). The game together with the router and the MRs as a mesh point is perfect and very simple. I also have a Synology NAS which fits together very well :) Hope I could help if something is still unclear just ask please :) Greetings
