Can anyone recommend a USB-C dock that is fully compatible with this laptop, i.e. can also charge the laptop via the same USB-C cable? I bought the Lenovo ThinkPad Universal USB-C Docking Station, which is actually listed as compatible. Unfortunately, it does not charge the laptop. According to internet research, I'm probably not the only one with this problem. Thank you very much.

Hello,
I also had the same problem.
I ordered the HUB at the same time as the laptop:
Lenovo vo USB C Wired Mini Dock VGA HDMI for IdeaPad S54013 Slim 7 14ITL05 9USB-C.
It didn't charge.

After long and tedious research on the net and ChatGpt I returned the device and order the:
Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid
USB-C, 10 ports

This one works perfectly for charging, connecting a screen and external drives via the USB ports.

It's a pity that this information was hard to find from both Lenovo and Galaxus.
The charging problem came from the power
Watts emitted by the HUB, which was not compatible.

Kind regards

No, you're not the only one who has this problem:
We take the device with us to construction sites or meetings. So it would be practical if only the USB dock had to be plugged in/out.
I tried various USB-C adapters, but it didn't work. For example, the adapter had to be plugged in/unplugged several times for the external monitor (high-resolution Dell device) to work.
If you can find 1 adapter that supports everything without additional manipulations (VGA, charging, other external devices), I would be very grateful for the tip. However, if it is the device itself, we will probably not find a solution.
Another good thing:
The IdeaPad Pro 5 is a great device. It is used for 3D CAD with embedded captures. The screen has 1 resolution which is very valuable for this application. The 3D animations run smoothly, as do the other simulation programmes.
