Can I use a larger cooler with it? I read that there has to be a special backplate for this - but I don't know if that's the case. Planned would be the Scythe Kotetsu Mark II

As a rule, the matching backplate is supplied with the cooler, if required. You can find out whether the cooler fits in the specifications under Compatibility.
