Can this SSD be used in a Macbook Pro mid 2012?

I have installed the SSD in 3 MscBook pro from 2012 (A1278). All 3 have a very large increase in speed. The old hard drive can also be used as a back-up. Absolutely recommendable!

Without Retina Display, i.e. the classic Macbook Pro with RJ45 (Ethernet) connection, I would say yes. But be careful with the connection cable to the hard drive. It is very sensitive.
But if you manage it, it runs super fast.
