Question about WD My Book
@digitec The manufacturer offers a 3 year warranty on ALL WD My Book. Why is this not the case for the 12, 16 and 18 TB models, but it is for the others?
This is "only" a typing error on Digitec's part.
In Switzerland, dealers have a minimum warranty of 2 years, which Digitec probably also has as standard for all products in its shop.
According to the terms and conditions, however, they also take over the warranty promised by the manufacturer if it is longer than the 2 years:
"If the manufacturer's warranty exceeds the warranty of Digitec Galaxus or the dealer, Digitec Galaxus or the dealer shall also grant this to the customer" (source: digitec.ch/wiki/478).
For exact answers you have to contact the customer service, here usually only the community answers.
