Does anyone know if there's a WD Green or Red in there? Has anyone ever opened it?

It has a white labelled WD inside, but the product code is from a WD Blue (8TB).

I bought the previous version - and it had WD Red in it. But you have no guarantee, apparently different types are installed.

I bought 2x 10 TB and disassembled them. Mine are white label (I suspect WD Blue). You can use the USB3 controller board with other hard drives after removing a chip. Have a look on YouTube how to do that. I have successfully removed both and the controllers now work with any hard drive.

WD builds in whatever they have left. So it's a bit of a lottery, but always so that the specs are minimally fulfilled.

There are definitely no REDs in there. They are most likely WD Blue. At least that's what Google tells me...
