Does anyone have experience with the monitor as an external monitor of a macbook? The aim would be to connect the Macbook (2017) with usb-c (thunderbolt 3) via an adapter with mini-dp to dp. Can this ensure a transmission of 144hz at full resolution? (Or at least a smooth mouse movement and scrolling).

I have no experience with Macbooks, but basically a USB-C port should support DisplayPort version 1.2, which is required for this monitor. Unless you already have a display cable, I recommend buying a cable directly from USB-C to Displayport so that the adapter to mini-dp is not necessary.
