Hello, does anyone know or already have the experience whether you can use an ordinary cable that is thinner than the extremely short original on the WD SSD? (data transfer). Many thanks for answers. FG

Yes, it is possible to use a cable other than the original for data transfer with a WD SSD as long as the cable meets the requirements. It is important to note that the data transfer cable must support the same transfer speed as the original cable. If you use a cable that does not support the same transfer speed, it may cause performance problems. It is also important that the cable meets the requirements to ensure that it works properly and does not cause damage to the SSD or other equipment. It is therefore recommended to use the original cable or another cable from a reliable manufacturer.
