Hello, I would like to use the device to save backups (via Time Machine) as well as to save my photo files. The first BackUp worked - but now I can't create folders for my photos ... . "Where is the saw stuck with me now ???"

If the whole hard disk has been activated for Time Machine, you can only use it for Time Machine. Solution. Partition the hard disk into two or more parts. Make several hard disks out of one according to popular size. One part is then only used for Time Machine. The other part(s) can be used as normal hard disks and then you can also create folders and copy data into them. Partitioning is done in the hard disk programme of your Mac or OSX operating system.
