Question about WD Elements Portable

Hi, I bought this hard drive last year. I can connect it to Windows but I can't read it on a Mac, despite having WD Drive Utilities and WD Discovery installed. Is there any other solution or specific formatting that would allow it to be used on Mac OS (Sonoma 14-1-1)?

I believe an exFAT formatted disc can be read on Windows and Mac. NTFS only works on Windows.
