how to replace a notbook hard drive with ssd
It depends completely on the notebook, you have to go to the manufacturer's website and see for your specific model what type of disk you can use and the assembly instructions.... In some models you can only use standard disks.
A cloning program is delivered with it, so before physically uninstalling your dd, you have to clone it (an adapter is needed to connect the new disk to a USB port, e.g. https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/product/icy-box-ib-ac603u3-cable-adaptateur-sata-25-vers-usb-30-convertisseurs-283999) by following the steps of the software (in my case Acronis).
Once cloned, you just have to replace the old one by the new one and it works without any other.
I installed it on a pc and there was enough room to add it. It wasn't very complicated but for a notebook, I don't know, is it easy to open?
