I purchased it on Tuesday, 11/13/18 and the picture quality on movies and games is phenomenal... then I scrolled through some word documents and forums and was blown away. I have never experienced such severe ghosting. How should I proceed? Is there anything I can do to improve it by adjusting the monitor or the graphics card, or is there a defect in the monitor and its reaction time is really subterranean?

Have you set the refresh rate to 120hz? You have to set this in advance under overclocking in the screen menu.
