When it comes to photos, I'm not sure if the Iphone allows this.

For streaming you need a dongle in between. I use an old Chromecast.

I haven't tested it with cable. I have a Samsung and I connect via WiFi with a caster app.

In my experience, only the Apple usb c to hdmi adapter works ("Apple Lightning Digital Adapter," approx. 50.-). I have found that the cheaper non-Apple transition plugs do not work and would have been better off ordering the Apple part from the start
