We use the projector in a similar way and use it inside during the day. The walls are made of wood and therefore not very bright. So the conditions for a good picture are good. We are very satisfied with the product.

The projector works well in a slightly darkened room, complete darkness like in the cinema is not necessary. However, I'm not sure it would work well in a lot of daylight. You would need to use some curtains or blinds.
