Maxtor M3 4TB hard disk is not recognised by Win10 in VMWare. No driver found for download at Maxtor. Is there a solution/workaround?

The VMware software is the cause. Perhaps VMware support knows a "workaround".

By the way, I have tried the hard disk with exFAT and NTFS. Both work. With exFAT, pay attention to compatibility with the OS.

Since the hard disk is 4TB in size, it must be formatted with GPT (Global Partition Table). If the base system of the VM War miy BIOS works, I could imagine that this is the problem. I did not need a special driver under WIN 7 or WIN 10. Plug it in, format it, it works.
