Conclusion: Digitec also considered this, but decided against it in the end, as some people might have already used the product before release.

Can only agree with you here. Digitec would do well to tie the review function to the release date of the product (or the first possible shipping date). 

Various products get a wrong rating this way - and this before the product is even available.
