So I have an iMac Late 2015 with 32GB Ram and an i5 Quad Core processor. However, the ram modules are quite slow at 1600Mhz. Am I correct in assuming that if the new M1 processor has mer cores anyway and is faster, and the memory on the new one is 2400Mhz, I basically have twice as fast a mac with a 16Gb Mac? Even though the mac has half as much memory? LG Tim

About 3 times as fast. However, this is not due to the RAM, but to the much faster CPU.
RAM determines how much software you can load at the same time. Just check your device to see how much RAM is actually used during work.
