The silo scale for container level and withdrawal monitoring provides the ability to effectively and reliably ensure the supply of a production facility. The silo scale can not only monitor the current fill level of the container but also the continuous weight decrease. With the monitoring of the current fill level, the silo scale can prompt the machine operator in a timely manner to refill the container.

To this end, the silo scale features three passive switching contacts (potential-free contacts/optocoupler outputs/OC). One switching contact can be used, for example, for a green light that is active when the current state of the container is satisfactory. If the container reaches a minimum limit or minimum load, a second switching contact can activate a yellow or red light to prompt the user to refill. The lights are not included in the delivery but can be ordered optionally with the silo scale.

The second monitoring capability of the silo scale is the continuous weight decrease. This function can monitor the filling processes of the machines and report discrepancies in material withdrawal. A weight decrease per time unit can be set in the silo scale, for example, g/min, kg/min, g/h, kg/h. In case of deviations in material withdrawal, the silo scale activates a switching contact that can be used to trigger, for example, a siren, light, or machine shutdown.
