The side wall of a springform pan can be released by means of a clamping lever: The ring opens and you can remove and re-clamp the bottom of the mould. With a flat bottom, cakes and cake bases can be made
in the springform pan. The base with a central chimney replaces a ring mould for cakes and ring cakes. In contrast to other baking forms, the finished cake does not fall out of the springform pan. Instead, you release the clamping lever - the cake will come off by itself thanks to the non-stick coating - and lift the ring upwards. Since the lower support plate is slightly larger than the ring, springback tins are absolutely leak-proof. They come in various sizes and shapes, for example round, square or heart-shaped.
