To heat the milk in a manual milk frother such as the one from Bialetti, fill the container up to a third full with milk and place it on a suitable heat source, such as a gas flame or an electric hob. Make sure that the flame does not protrude over the edge or that the heat is set to medium. The milk should not boil, but only become warm, around 65 to 70 degrees Celsius.

No, it is not dishwasher safe. We have gathered some informations regarding the cleaning: Cleaning: Disconnect the plug from the socket before cleaning. Do not immerse the device in water under any circumstances. The device is easier to clean if this is done immediately after use. Do not use chemical products or abrasive cleaners. Instead of milk, pour water into the frother, close it with the lid and start the machine. This heats the water and "froths" it, so that milk residues are released from the inside of the device. When the process is finished, empty the device and remove the remaining residue with a soft sponge. Clean the hot milk frother, lid and silicone ring with hot water and detergent (do not put in the dishwasher). Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth only. Always wait until the appliance is completely dry before putting it away. Translated with https://www.deepl.com/Translator (free version)

I think the figure of 100cl (=1 litre) refers to the total content. But that would be too much. You can foam 2-3dl, but the more, the greater the risk of a mess, because it foams out the top. But actually no problem for 3-4 cappuchini or latte machiati. It is clearly the best frother I have had so far, as it has a double sieve! But I have only foamed warm milk so far, not cold.
