Fully threaded screws are recommended for fastening thin components and in less solid wood materials (e.g. softwoods). Pan-head (half-round head) screws are particularly suitable for metal-wood joints and are not countersunk. The screw tip with its three ribs ensures fast biting and pre-milling. The chipboard screws have a significantly reduced splitting behavior compared to standard screws.
