no, i can't confirm that either. you have to pay close attention then, which is already tedious.
hey... i bought this and use it 99% in switzerland. but on my autumn holiday i took it to canada and experienced the usual TomTom quality. everything worked fine. at most the pronunciation of the english/french street names sounded a bit funny when my german voice spoke them :-).
There is none - if that was the question.
Yes, Iceland is also on the Tom Tom Go 5200.
There is a USB connection on the back next to the connection for the active holder. The same applies to the active holder itself, as the holder covers the USB port when it is mounted.
This device has an integrated SIM card. This means that the congestion reports are sent to the TOMTOM without a mobile phone connection or additional cable, etc. This does not incur any costs. Does not incur any costs.
The separately available Europa-Camper map is not compatible with this device, but as far as I have seen, this applies to all new navigation devices. This may also have something to do with the fact that you can import POI lists with all new navigation devices (TOMTOM, Garmin, etc.). promobil.de, for example, offers POI lists with all (current 2017) campsites for Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, France and Spain (6700 campsites). Not a bad choice for just under 6 euros.... Hope this helps?

Unfortunately, I don't know. It works via Bluetooth with my iPhone 6. But I have a question: Does the GO 5200 have an "automatic call pick-up" function? It is available on the TomTom Via 135 and is very practical. I would be happy to hear from you and send my best regards Peter.ritter@bluewin.ch
Right! 90.6mm according to TomTom. Thanks for the tip, corrected.
https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Mobile-Themen/TomTom-Live-Benutzer-von-Swisscom-im-Stich-gelassen/td-p/479374 Some (more expensive) TomTom GPS devices have a SIM card and a GSM/2G mobile radio module built in. A radio-based internet connection is required for TomTom's LIVE service. TomTom GPS devices with an integrated 2G/GSM mobile radio module and an integrated SIM card realise the Internet connection via the 2G/GSM mobile radio network. The SIM card integrated in the TomTom GPS device allowed roaming on the Swisscom GSM/2G mobile network in Switzerland until recently. The SIM card is almost certainly not a Swisscom SIM card. The mobile network currently used by the TomTom GPS device can be seen in the TomTom device somewhere under "Status" or "Info" or "Live services" or "Network". The Swisscom 2G/GSM mobile network has the identifier 228-01: MCC: 228 (Mobile Country Code => Country Code: 228 => CH) MNC: 01 (Mobile Network Code => network number: 1 => Swisscom) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobilfunknetzkennzahl It is unlikely that the packet data service of Swisscom's 2G/GSM mobile network suddenly stops working throughout Switzerland. There are probably TomTom-internal technical problems or the APN used by the TomTom-internal SIM card is causing problems in interaction with the Swisscom mobile network: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Access_Point_Name In the case of APN problems, Swisscom could be partly to blame. Swisscom must forward the data sent to the "TomTom" APN to TomTom. Side note: Swisscom will switch off the 2G/GSM mobile network at the end of 2020. From then on, it will most likely no longer be possible to use the live service of TomTom devices in Switzerland anyway! The mobile radio module currently integrated in all TomTom devices does not support 3G/UMTS or 4G/LTE mobile radio networks! Source: community.swisscom.ch Greetings Roland
Navigation works perfectly in the USA. Simply download the map. The real-time data (built-in SIM) only works in the pre-installed countries.
