Can the USB-C, which is intended for the monitor connection (40 Gbit/s), also be used for combined charging or does a second USB cable have to be connected to the USB-C labelled with lightning for charging? We use an HP docking station and would like to connect only 1 USB-C cable if possible, so that the image / power supply can be transferred to the notebook via the same cable.

Hello to each other I am looking for a docking station for this laptop to charge the laptop via USB-C and connect 2 displays (HDMI). I would like to extend my desktop with the displays. I am unfortunately unsure, because I have read that the docking station needs special connections so that my two different signals for the displays can be received or is it enough to install a Displaylink driver additionally? I was able to do some research and according to the manufacturer's specifications it has the following two ports: 1x USB-C® (USB 10Gbps / USB 3.2 Gen 2), with USB PD 3.0 and DisplayPort™ 1.4 1x USB-C® (USB4® 40Gbps), with USB PD 3.0 and DisplayPort™ 1.4 You can connect most docking stations and I would recommend the following models: Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid i-tec Dual 4K DisplayLink is not necessary in this case as the system has MST (MultiStreamTransport).
