Product details

The new Centaur battery charger series from Victron Energy has been designed for worldwide use. Compliance with general specifications and input/output requirements are the main features of this new product line, developed by the renowned Dutch manufacturer. It has been designed to meet both the CE marking requirements for Europe and the UL marking requirements for the United States. The Centaur series automatically accommodates an input range of 90 to 265 VAC 50/60 Hz, meaning the devices can be used globally.

Unlike other devices that have universal input capabilities, the Centaur series maintains full output power within the specified range. The Centaur model also operates with an input power of 90-400 VDC. This makes it a DC-DC charger converter, perfectly suited for an electronic diesel system. Among other features, the model includes a fully automatic three-stage charging profile that ensures batteries are fully charged every time, as well as three separate charging outputs for multi-battery setups, making it suitable for most typical installations.

The product line includes 12 V and 24 V models ranging from 16 A to 100 A. The fact that the same product is suitable for any boat, regardless of the target market or the location to which the boat is to be taken, presents a huge advantage for boat builders and owners alike. Given the price sensitivity in this competitive market, a single model for all markets also means more competitive costs. Without compromising the market quality of Victron Energy, this product line is comprehensive, competitive, and compatible, no matter where it is intended to be used in the world.
