Are the bags absolutely necessary? And where are they available? Are they expensive? Or can they be used several times? They are probably not used when wet? Thank you for your answer.

I would assume that the bags are justified for dry vacuuming. The filter gets clogged with dust without the bag and has to be cleaned accordingly and probably replaced sooner. The bag can be used until it is full, it must of course be removed for wet vacuuming and can then be used again for dry vacuuming.

I have been using the Kärcher for a year. I haven't needed the bag that comes with it yet, so it's not absolutely necessary. Replacement bags cost approx. 5 chf/pc.
