Yes, you can control them that way. However, you still need a Corsair Lighting Node Pro to be able to connect the whole thing to the board.

You are not doing anything wrong in that sense. It is a little fiddling because the trap gets stuck easily. Do not try to force it

I have just bought this product. However, you can't get a cable that goes into the motherboard. I had to buy a Lightning Node Pro, which you can only buy as a package.

The best way to use the fans is to use the Corsair RGB Fan LED Hub and the Commander Pro connected to the mainboard (USB) and the RGB HUB to the Commander PRO. The fan connections are then connected once each to the RGB HUB and to the Commander Pro and then controlled in Windows via the software.

I was also extremely confused by this Corsair system. I used this guide and found the right products: https://forum.corsair.com/v3... According to the guide, this hub does not have a USB interface. In your case, you need a controller with a channel output to control the RGB. I have a Corsair channel output directly on my MSI board and therefore only need this hub for my fans. If you don't have that, a Lighning Node Core is recommended, which has the USB header to be controlled via iCue. If you also want to control the fan speed via iCue, use the Commander Pro.
