Hello Christoph, in principle there is nothing against doing it this way.
Yes, I have installed two additional Heos 1!
The HS2 models are only wireless speakers. This is a TV sound bar. Unfortunately no connectivity with Alexa, Google etc. is given.
No, unfortunately that is not possible. Heos components only work with each other, and this also applies to the new subwoofer Denon HEOS SUBWOOFER (Black, USB Host).

Did you connect the Soundbar to the LAN? The update worked great for me when connected to the LAN (although the message came up at the end that the update could not be done).

It is possible to connect the Soundbar directly to the TV via HDMI cable. This requires an HDMI connection with the designation ARC (Audio Return Channel). This means that all sound signals from the TV are delivered directly to the Soundbar. The volume can still be controlled via the TV. Now to the subject of Bluray. The Bluray player can now be connected directly to a free HDMI port on the TV.
Since this device has been on the market for a while, I would say no. But it is possible to connect the system to the HDMI with the designation ARC (audio return channel) of your TV. The soundbar is then controlled directly by the TV (louder, quieter or mute). This means you can connect all 4K devices directly to the TV. Kind regards
So laptop via HDMI Out to HDMI In on the Heos and then via HDMI Out to HDMI In from the beamer should actually work.
Since you have not received a suitable answer so far, I recommend that you ask the manufacturer directly. As far as I know, the successor HS2 is not even available on the manufacturer's website.
I don't think so, at least not directly. But you can stream youtube to TV via chromecast or similar, which would work but is probably not your idea. Otherwise you can stream Spotify, deezer, tidal, soundcloud, napster, tunein and locally stored music (on mobile phone or USB stick). google play music does not work (or only with rooted phone and special apps).

Two sets of feet are included, approx. 2cm and approx. 3cm. The feet are to be placed almost at the edge of the soundbar (distance 87cm). Please note that depending on the TV, there may then be a problem with the reception of the remote control.

No... the sound is there after one second at the latest! The response times are top, so nothing to complain about ;-)))) My ROG Router RT-AC5300 certainly also plays its part in this.... my Samsung UE65JS8580 has an 866MBit connection and the Heos 300 Mbit ^^
