Samson Meteor Mic
Samson Meteor Mic
The microphone has a threaded hole at the bottom with an inner diameter of 15 mm. I think this is already intended for a tripod. Maybe it should also be mentioned that for voice recordings I have to hold the microphone max. 30 cm from my mouth, further away it gets too quiet. It's probably not the microphone but the computer, but I have a better laptop and a better desktop computer, and it's the same with both. I can't make the recording tone any stronger anywhere. - This information should be considered in the context of the tripod question: if it's too far away, then it's too quiet.
no, that must be purchased separately
Is the microphone also selected as an output source? Behind the microphone there is another headphone input via which an audio output is possible. To change this, you would have to select the integrated speakers as the output in Skype's video and audio settings and not the microphone.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend a stand, as I have it on the table myself, but it looks like you can remove the legs by loosening a few screws. You can find a few examples of stands on the manufacturer's website: http://www.samsontech.com/samson/products/microphones/usb-microphones/meteormic/
You don't have to, The microphone is recognised as a second sound card and you can choose where sound comes out.
The Samson Meteor is a condenser microphone (large diaphragm). It offers very good quality, but its design makes it unsuitable for ignoring background noise. Therefore, it is recommended to have the microphone as close as possible to the sound source (e.g. by using a mic stand). If the microphone is placed normally on the table, even non-mechanical keyboards are clearly audible. For gaming/team talk, I would rather recommend a headset.
Define "right". As far as I know, there is no right or wrong with a microphone. Rather good and bad. If it doesn't have to be professional recordings, the microphone probably does. I recommend you look at a few reviews on Google or YouTube and compare them with others before you decide on a microphone.
The principle of this microphone is that it has an integrated (tripod)... This is enough to put it on a table/desk. If you want to use it for other things, like singing, I don't know. But I don't think that this is the kind of microphone you should use.
