Depends on what exactly you want... HomePod only works with Apple Music (without an iPhone or similar). Sonos can also work with Spotify. Theoretically, it should be possible to address an AirPlay2 compatible Sonos from the HomePod, but I haven't tried it yet. But if Sonos is the "master", I don't think it can be integrated.
If you're not in the Apple ecosystem, buying a Homepod doesn't make sense. If you own an Apple device but do not have an Apple Music subscription, you can use practically all the features of the Homepod. Of course, it's a pity that you can't easily operate Spotify via voice control, but have to add the Homepod as an external device. Either way, I think it makes much less sense to own a Homepod without Apple Music, especially if you want to use it mainly for listening to music. Otherwise, if you're interested in smart speakers, check out Sonos.
Unfortunately no, it does not have an incoming connection
No idea from where it is imported, but it has the SEV 1011 plug type 12
According to Apple support, this should work: https://support.apple.com/de-ch/HT208340
Oui c'est multilingue:😉 As of summer 2019, Apple’s Siri voice assistant supports 21 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish. https://www.globalme.net/blog/language-support-voice-assistants-compared#Google_Homes_Language_Support https://www.forbes.com/sites/sethporges/2018/04/12/7-things-you-can-do-with-the-apple-homepod-other-than-listen-to-music/
yes it has to be set to germany but it always answers location related weather and also other requests In the meantime I have a stereo pair, which is even better in terms of sound.
The prices to the German shop can always differ. The reason for this is that in Germany we can usually obtain the goods from a different supplier and this is also at different conditions for us. Therefore, no price reduction is currently planned for this item.
Does Siri work with a Swiss Apple account or does the country setting have to be set to Deutschlang?
Siri works without problems in German with a Swiss Apple account.
The Swiss and German versions are both the same. The plug is a standard two-pin plug (CH & DE). However, the language must be set to German (Deutschland), but this does not make any noticeable difference.
The device has an international 2-pin plug that fits perfectly into the Swiss sockets.
The product is delivered with a European plug.
Production was discontinued.
I gave up and ordered my HomePod mini through a guy on Ricardo. Brand new units imported from US at about same cost as Digitec. Received the units in 3 days.

Yes, no problem. Like an iphone. I have had one for a few years and also live in the French speaking part of Switzerland.
At the moment, many suppliers are having delivery problems. It is no secret that Apple products are often sold out even outside of a pandemic ("run" on Apple devices). Apple is not yet officially selling the Homepod in Switzerland, so this product is probably also affected by the import.

Hello, Of course the HomePod is still available. You can check out the information at https://www.apple.com/de/homepod-2018/. The HomePod is very expensive, but the sound is just great. I also have the Sonos One, but they were a waste of money when it comes to sound. I would only buy the HomePod. You only have the optimum luxury with an AppleMusic account, but it also works without AitPlay and Internet radio. But you definitely need an iPhone. For me, it's the best purchase I've made in the last few years, even though it's expensive (2 x 300 euros), but the joy of it makes you forget about it.
